The Breaking of Bread is a series of performances and interventions that play with bread, social conventions and technology

in each iteration, I wall up the entrance to a building or room with loaves of bread.
Inside, the table is set for a large communal meal. Participants are invited to take a loaf until the wall is scalable. Then they share the bread and other food together.

For the DinnerTime variation, myself and two other performers joined the dinner remotely, using FaceTime and Skype. Eating and drinking exactly the same foods, we spoke to the diners about absence, conviviality and the affect of technology on relationships.
